With Lisa Schmidt being a busy mom on the go, I thought what kind of iPhone apps could help her keep in touch with baby during her busy schedule. It seems I'm not alone in trying to find technology to help out.
Time Magazine wrote an article about apps that can help new moms.
A top app is called Toddler Cards. The app helps you teach your child the basic's like animals, shapes, colors and food. You can flip through the pictures in the different categories, plus it includes those phrases in different languages too. There's study cards, but on a the iPhone.
When your baby needs a break to potty, the Diaper Tracker can help you log the time and consistency of your baby's #2. You can save your stats or upload them to a spreadsheet to show to your doctor at your baby's next check up.
KVII Executive Producer Kayla Welch said, "If I knew about the Diaper Tracker, when my son Copper was born, it would have helped in his doctor visits."
Babyphone is a baby monitor that will call you on your own house phone, or any phone you set up, when your baby starts to wake up. That way you don't have to keep running back and forth thinking you heard he/she waking up, when they're just turning over.
And when your baby does wake up, how about taking pictures and posting them for everyone to see. An app called QuadCamera helps in taking those actions shots, or just getting one that isn't blurry. The QuadCamera will take four to eight continuous shots, and once the camera is done snapping, it will display those pictures all in one image. There's bound to be a cute, non-blurry, baby Miller photo in there!
But this one could be her all time favorite, it's called a Sleep Kids Edition. It's a music app to get the baby to go to sleep, perfect for naptime! It includes a timer and selection of lullabies. You can adjust the volume and watch your baby snuggle to sleep.
