AMARILLO, TEXAS -- A police chase early Friday morning ended with two people jumping out and being arrested on charges including criminal trespassing.
It was 3:45 a.m. Friday when police were advised of an known vehicle in the 8900 block of Mariposa. A security guard made the call and just the day before, Thursday, Potter County deputies took a burglary report at that same location.
When patrol deputies arrives, the suspected vehicle was seen leaving the area. According to the Potter County Sheriff's Office, the vehicle then began eluding police and a chase ensured.
During the chase, two suspects bailed out of the vehicle, police said. A third suspect fled in the vehicle.
Police said the vehicle was found a short time later but the driver had left on foot. Several items were found inside the truck and were identified by a representative of the property as items stolen from the previous day.
Carly Kaye Black (Mitchell,) 32 and Shaun Allan Dillon, 32, both of Amarillo were arrested on the charges of criminal trespassing. Black was also charged with possession of a controlled substance. She was out on bond for possession of a controlled substance and fraudulent possession or use of identifying information.
Friday afternoon, Potter County deputies located Christopher Allen Winter, 26, thanks to an anonymous tip. He was found at a local Walmart. During his arrest, police say he resisted and assaulted two of the deputies. He was booked on Assault of a Public Servant and several outstanding warrants.
The incident remains under investigation.
