AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Locals are enjoying a "Springtime in Paris", but they didn't board a plane in order to get there.
Martha's Home is hosting their sold-out 3rd Annual Second Chance Prom at the Amarillo Civic Center.
"It's just important to offer second chances to everyone -- including homeless women and mothers with children. We offer the second chance prom to everybody that wants a second chance to experience their high school prom. If they had a bad experience then here's your second chance to redo it with who you're with now -- your current sweetheart. If you had a good experience, then to relive it," said Mary Kay Kuhrts, Martha's Home Development Director.
The prom is French themed -- with a replica of the Eiffel Tower, a Paris café, and of course there will be lots of music and dancing.
The prom will also included a silent and live auction, a professional ballroom dance exhibition, and a dance contest.
The prom will start at 7 p.m. and will end at 11 p.m.
The money made from tonight's prom will go toward a fourth new home and the daily operating costs of the other homes as well.
