AMARILLO, TEXAS -- There is a new way you can help find your lost pets or list any animals that are found. It's a new Facebook page called Amarillo Paws. It's a network of A marillo's animal-friendly people who help place lost or homeless cats and dogs in loving homes.

They're encouraging people to post photos and contact information so they can share it with anyone who might have seen your pet or who wants to adopt one.

It's not a shelter or a pound, just a good samaritan organization. "Several of us are animal lovers and we've all take home our fair share of found strays. So we just decided to maybe make one location where people could post pictures or say I'm looking for this pet that I've lost or I have these liters of kittens and who wants them so they don't have to do to a kill shelter," said Penni Bentley, the Director of Communications at the Amarillo Chamber.

If you've lost or found a pet here are some local organizations you also might want to check with:

Amarillo Humane Society: 373-1716

Amarillo Animal Control: 378-3092
