AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Welcome to another edition of What's New Amarillo?!
Our first stop is downtown where you can sit back, relax, enjoy a drink and of course a burger.
The Burger Bar offers burgers, hot dogs, salads, shakes and floats, plus a full bar -- it's at 614 S. Polk Street.
Next, we head to a new place that isn't there.
The old Saturn building at 2525 S. Georgia Street is being torn down to be turned into a new Chick-fil-A restaurant.
Our last stop is a boutique clothing store located between Amarillo and Canyon.
The Rustic Twist Boutique has been open for a week and is right off of the I-27 and McCormick Rd. -- directly south of the Buffalo Chip.
They offer women and children's apparel, home décor, and they are taking customized jewelry and more to the next level.
"We will be doing custom t-shirts. We have opened a heat press business as well here at Rustic Twist so if anyone is interested in custom t-shirts for maybe teams or school events we are more than welcome to help you out on that as well," said Renee McCollum.
McCollum says even though it may be a little bit out of the way -- it's well worth the trip because they offer designer jeans among other things at lower prices.
Plus the tax is at 6.25 percent as opposed to the tax in town which is 8.25 percent.
She also says business has been busy designing customized jewelry for girls and their prom dresses.
