A 13-month-old was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where she was found with serious injury to her head. She has since died.
The Amarillo Fire Department was called to the San Jacinto neighborhood Saturday Afternoon on North Florida Street on a child not breathing.
Keyaria Lamesha Bowens was admitted into the Pedi-ICU at Northwest Texas Hospital in critical condition.
Child Protective Services and Special Crimes are now conducting a joint investigation. No arrests have been made in this on-going case.
