Charges have been filed against two men who are being connected to a fire that severely damaged a Church bus on April 5.

Justin Michael Flores, 19, and Matthew Alan Scruggs, 20 were arrested earlier this week in connection with several fires in the Puckett and Sleepy Hollow neighborhoods last week.

Now they are being charged with a fire at St. Stephen's United Methodist Church located at 4600 S. Western. In that fire, a Church bus was severely destroyed.

The Amarillo Fire Marshall's Office filed the charges Tuesday and the Randall County District Attorney's Office accepted a second degree felony charge of arson for the bus fire.

Other fires that happened the night of April 4-5 are being investigated. That includes fires in the Puckett, Puckett West, Sleepy Hollow, Olsen Park and West Lawn additions of the city. More charges are expected to be presented.

Flores and Scruggs remain behind bars at the Randall Couny Jail.
