AMARILLO -- It was dancing, dazzle, glitz and glamour Thursday night as Amarillo stars took to the dance floor.

The theme was dancing through the decades, all the way from the roaring 20's to the new millennium.

Our own Daybreak anchor Meredith Keller and Pronews Seven's Jonas Rios did a 20's themed dance.

BSA, Xcel energy, Texas Tech, and several other media companies danced to support Ascension Academy.

"Because Ascension Academy is private we get no state funding whatsoever so we have to support all of the programs at our school with outside donations and so and tuition of course raises each year and so this just helps to offset it and helps to provide financial aid for the kids," said Charee Godwin-Smith, from Ascension Academy. All the proceeds benefit Ascension Academy.

There was also a silent auction sponsored by parents of the school. They hoped to raise $30,000 for the students.
