AMARILLO -- A man remains in an Amarillo hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was stabbed late Thursday night.

Craig Asher Nunn, 24, was stabbed in the neck and arm just after 11p.m. Thursday, police said. Upon arrival, he was found unconscious.

Amarillo Police say Nunn had been involved in an altercation with Michael Tenoria, 28, in the the 2000 block of North Mirror. Witnesses told Police, the two had been drinking when the altercation started.

A second altercation started when Nunn and his girlfriend came back to the residence. The altercation developed into a physical fight, police said. Initial investigation shows that Nunn was stabbed with a butcher knife.

Nunn's girlfriend, Amy Pruitt, 23, was also found bleeding from a minor wound in her chest.

The investigation continues and Tenoria was transported to the Potter County Jail where he was booked for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Police have also determined that Pruitt's wound was not a result of assault and instead from crossing a fence trying to get away from the scene.

Charges have yet to be filed.
