AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Amarillo's Habitat for Humanity was supposed to start up their "Brush for Kindness" program Friday, but the strong winds cancelled those outdoor painting plans. However, volunteers from Zachary showed up at another Habitat home to finish painting the inside of a home. The group even donated a sizeable amount to help Habitat for Humanity to continue their great work. We're told with Saturday's expected great weather, volunteers and Habitat will be at another location to paint the outside of a house.

"We're able to serve more families more low-income families or disabled or elderly people and give them a nice home they're glad to come home too," said Jeremy Cleaver, Habitat for Humanity.
