AMARILLO, TEXAS -- You may have noticed an 18 wheeler flipped on top of two cars north of the Civic Center today, but don't worry that accident was staged.

T-Miller Wrecker partnered with the Amarillo Fire Department to place two cars under a semi-truck, with dummies inside, to demonstrate to kids how they handle major accidents.

They also use demonstrations like today's, to get some practice in as well.

"Any time we can get practice in, it helps tremendously and it's good to do it in a controlled enviorment, that way when we get out on the road in a real life scenario the wrecker employee's know what the fire department needs and the fire department knows what the wrecker drivers need, so it works out good for both of us," said David Ferril, T-Miller Wreckers.

David Wood of the Amarillo Fire Department says, they don't have that sort of equipment and it really helps having the wreckers so they can get to the patients faster.
