AMARILLO, TX -- Amarillo's homeless population got a little help Friday, thanks to the City's Interfaith Campaign which dolled out its fundraising efforts this morning.

The Interfaith group holds an annual beans and cornbread dinner at the end of year kicking off its campaign.

There are 10 different organizations in Amarillo, from Faith City Ministries to the Salvation Army who got a piece of the $200,000 pie today, according to chairman, Jeffrey Geske.

"I would like to thank the entire city for the generous gifts to help raise more than $100,000 to support the ministers and agencies helping the homeless, thank you to our city and all who made this possible.".

The $100,000 raised was met with a matching grant by the Don and Sybil Harrington foundation.
