It's being described as one of Amarillo's most historic elections.

Saturday, residents of Amarillo and cities all throughout the Panhandle can head to the polls to decide the outcome of several important issues.

In Amarillo, voters will chose their next Mayor as well as new City Commissioners. Also on the ballot are two propositions and a charter amendment. Those include the repeal of the sign ordinance, the implementation of single-member districts and the repeal of urban design standards.

As for the rest of the Panhandle, voters will decide elections from the cities as well as school boards.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
