LAS CRUCES, NEW MEXICO (AP) -- The trial of an Anthony teenager in the death of a Texas college student is under way in Las Cruces. A jury was selected Monday to hear the case against Irvin Rodolfo Ramirez.
He was arrested along with two others in the shooting death of 20-year-old Adam Espinoza last year.
Ramirez has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder, robbery, arson and other charges in the rest stop killing along New Mexico's border with Texas.
Authorities say Espinoza was shot and placed in the trunk of his own vehicle, which was moved to an arroyo and lit on fire. A conviction could send Ramirez to prison for life.
