A Littlefield man died Tuesday morning after he allegedly failed to stop at an intersection last week.

Texas Department of Public Safety says Jose L. Camargo, 38 of Littlefield died on May 17, four days after a wreck at the intersection of FM 1055 and US 86 in Oldham County.

It was May 13 just after 6:00 p.m. when DPS says Camargo was driving southbound in a 2011 Chevrolet pickup. As he was approaching the intersection, he failed to stop, police said. He then struck a Suburban.

The woman driving the Suburban was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Camargo was airlifted to Northwest Texas Hospital where he died Tuesday morning.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
