AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Update:

The Amarillo Police Department has said Jerry Doyle Permenter Sr was found about 5 p.m. Saturday.

Previously Reported:

The Amarillo Police Department is investigating the disappearance of an elderly Amarillo resident.

He is identified as Jerry Doyle Permenter Sr. W/M Age 75. He is 5'7" and 160 lbs. He often wears a cap. Mr. Permenter left his residence at approximately 5:00 PM on 05-20-2011. He was driving a white 2006 Chrysler Sebring, TX License #151LHV.

He was going to Howardwick, Texas which is near Greenbelt Lake and Clarendon. Mr. Permenter has contacts in the Howardwick area but has not been seen or heard from since he left Amarillo. Mr. Permenter suffers from Alzheimer's and sometimes gets disoriented. If you see Mr. Permenter or his vehicle, please contact local law enforcement immediately by dialing 911. Anyone with tips on Mr. Permenter's location is asked to call the Amarillo Police Department at 806-378-3038.
