AMARILLO, TEXAS -- There were things flying around Amarillo's East Branch Library Tuesday.
That was because of a special demonstration of aeronautics, with the goal of keeping kids interested in reading.
According to Library Assistant Emily Dansby, demonstrations like Tuesday's show kids there's exciting stuff to do at the library.
She said it shows them they can do a lot more than just read books, and activities like this also give the kids new subjects to read about.
"If they're interested in that than we have stuff that meets their interests and you know that there's different possibilities out there than just you know cars or something like that."
The Summer Reading Program will have plenty of fun events for kids throughout the summer, including a visit from some of the residents of the Amarillo Zoo.
