A 15-year-old Amarillo boy has been transported to a Lubbock hospital after police say he was the victim of a drive-by shooting Sunday night.
Amarillo Police responded to the 800 block of Evergreen just before 10:00 Sunday night. Officials say a 15-year-old male was found with a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was standing near the front porch of an apartment when witnesses say they believe a shot came from inside a white pickup truck.
The boy was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries and was later transported to Lubbock for further treatment.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
