ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - New Mexico small businesses affected by extreme weather earlier this year are eligible for low-interest loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration.
U.S. Sen. Jeff Bingaman made the announcement Monday.
The New Mexico Democrat says the loans are aimed at offsetting losses related to one of two designations - freezing temperatures and a natural gas shortage or drought, high winds and wildfires.
All but four of New Mexico's 33 counties are covered under the Small Business Administration's designations.
