Downtown wreck sends two to hospital

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- An accident in downtown Amarillo sent two Amarillo women to the hospital Saturday afternoon.

It happened just before 2 p.m. at 10th and Taylor. 

Amarillo police said a gray Camry was headed west on 10th when witnesses said it ran a red light, hitting a Penske moving truck. 

The impact caused the Camry to flip. 

Two woman, who were inside, were wearing their seat-belts and taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

The driver of the truck was treated for minor injuries on scene. 

10th street between Fillmore and Polk streets was shut down while crews cleaned up.
