AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Update: 8:10 p.m.
Officials say it is now contained. They don't have an exact acreage estimate yet, but crews said at one point the fire is about 2 miles wide and 9 miles long.
They have not lost any buildings and they did have assistance from the Texas Forest Service which was conducting air drops.

Pronews 7 has confirmed fire crews in Moore County are also working a grassfire, the fire is located 10 miles east of highway 287 near Ranch Road 1913. We are told the is near the Pioneer Plant. Officials said the fire is burning open ranch country and no evacuations are needed at this time.
Earlier Moore County did request mutual aid from the Texas Forest Service and other agencies.
