AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - The Texas House made quorum on Monday and began tackling a long to-do list with just three days remaining in the Legislature's special session.

Before midnight Wednesday, lawmakers have to consider major legislation on the budget and hurricane insurance coverage. They're also expected to take up expanded immigration enforcement and a health care reform bill stalled because of a disagreement over bans on state funding for abortions.

Then there's a bill that would outlaw so-called "intrusive" airport security pat-downs. The measure might be replaced by passing a new, non-binding resolution - instead of a law. Or it could get advanced by the state Senate.

Gov. Rick Perry sets the agenda for the special session. He could call a second one if lawmakers can't complete all the work on time.
