AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Did you know the Fourth of July marks both America's birthday and the birthday of Wonderland Amusement Park?

60 years ago to the day, the park was born, and they celebrated that Monday with a 60 square foot cake provided by Belmar Bakery.

They also offered a great deal for families so they'd come out and celebrate, too, something the park has done a lot.

That's something owner Alethea Roads and her family have shown through those 60 years.

"I think it's a wonder so many parks close but we just keep going, it's the area, we have a good area."

Roads also said she is very proud of her family and their commitment to keep the park in business, because without them things would've been much tougher.
