Police in Portales are now investigating a suspicious death from the weekend.
The Portales News Tribune says Police are investigating an unattended death in the 700 block of Brazos Street. According to the newspaper, Police Deputy Chief Lonnie Berrys said the death was suspicious and happened sometime before Monday.
Officials were called Monday evening around 5:30. No official identification has been made and no fresh trauma was found on the victim.
More information will be available as the body is moved and identified.
