AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Update 10:45a
Police now say the shooting stemmed from an earlier argument between two groups of people who frequent the parking lot of Legends.

No arrest has been made and the incident remains under investigation.


Amarillo Police are investigating an early Tuesday morning shooting at a local club.

Police say 33-year-old Johnny Lee Allen of Amarillo reported that he was shot in the parking lot of Legends at 600 Amarillo Blvd. The call came into police at about 5:07.

A bullet wound was in Allen's back and he was transported to the hospital by ambulance. At last check, his would was described as not life-threatening.

Witnesses said a large group of people were at the parking lot at the time of the shooting. One man was arrested for public intoxication but no one was arrested on assault.
