AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Named after the book of the Bible, "Acts" Community is proving that extraordinary things can be accomplished through ordinary people.
"We felt like we the heard the Lord clearly and so we just stepped out in faith and he has proven to be so faithful", said Director of Acts Community, Chad Conner.
Today was the groundbreaking for their second construction project -- building a home for the Sharp family who lost everything in wildfire.
"They're building our home and they're paying for everything because we didn't have any insurance so they're paying for everything through donations", said one of the future home owners, Paula Sharp.
Special accommodations are even being made for the family's son, Cody, who has cerebral palsy.
"We're building it with 5 ft hallways, 3 ft doors and he'll have a roll in shower where it's just really easy to take care of him in here", said Conner.
Shooting to have the family moved in in 12 weeks is no small feat but Acts knows it's a job they can't ignore.
"You got a family here that's done absolutely nothing wrong but lost everything and they just had no options and you just see stuff like that and for us it's just impossible to ignore it", adds Conner.
This family of four couldn't be more appreciative, who said Acts Community themselves are a gift from God.
"They always say you know, God will provide and he's done a good job of that and my wife and I both have actually we've started back to church", said Paula's husband Johnny Sharp.
"I thank God everyday for them people, thank God for what they're doing for us", continues Paula.
This one of four total housing projects Acts hopes to complete this year. Building the Sharp's home will cost anywhere from $40,000 to $50,000 and Acts still needs about $10,000 to have those funds completely raised.
