AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Well, the weather outside is... HOT.

Just last month, Amarillo broke the record for the hottest temperature ever recorded in the city at 111 degrees. Now another record has been tied.

Amarillo has hit 100 degrees 26 times in 2011, which ties the record which was set back in 1953.

"It has been so hot that hot water comes out of BOTH taps," said Storm Search 7 Chief Meteorologist Steve Kersh.

The National Weather Service has been keeping records in Amarillo since 1892.
