Amarillo Police are investigating a robbery that happened at Walgreens Pharmacy Tuesday evening.
It was around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday when police say a white male entered the Walgreens at 1600 S. Western. He allegedly placed a note on the counter that said he wanted narcotics and that he had a gun. However, no weapon was ever seen.
The suspect is being described as a white male ranging in the age of 20-25. He had short, sandy brown hair with no facial hair. The man was wearing a black hoodie pulled over his head with avaitor-type sunglasses. Additionally, he was wearing silver workout shorts.
An undisclosed amount of narcotics was given to the suspect and he left in a newer model Ford extended cab pickup.
The suspect was followed to an area near Tascosa High School and Westlawn where he put the bag of narcotics in a blue 1990's model four-door vehicle. Both vehicles then fled the area.
This incident remains under investigation.
