AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The Honor Flights give our war veterans a chance to travel to Washington and explore the Capital of the Nation they worked so hard to protect.

For the first time ever, this year's Honor Flight from Amarillo will have five brothers, all veterans, aboard at the same time.

James, Wendell, Thomas, Johnny, and Cecil Short will make the trip, and they all seem very excited they'll be doing it together.

"Just seeing the memorial and other than that I don't know much more about it. I've seen Washington DC but I've never seem the memorial and I'm looking forward to it," said Cecil, the oldest of the five.

He joked that it would be more fun if he left his four brothers behind, but then he smiled and said in all honesty, this would be a great trip and a great opportunity to spend time with his family.
