There's a famous commercial that asks people what they would do for a Klondike bar. I never really got it, I mean, it's just a block of ice cream covered in chocolate, right?
But the commercial makes it seem like these people would go to great lengths to get that ice cream brick.
So what would you do... to keep your cell phone?
TeleNav, a GPS Navigator company did a survey, asking people what they would be willing to give up for a week to keep their cell phone.
They gave the choice of giving up sex, caffeine, exercise, or your tooth brush.
The answers were kind of surprising.
About one third of those surveyed said they would rather give up sex for a week than go without their phones.
What? Really?
Not surprising, 54 percent said they would give up exercise, but I suspect most of those people probably didn't exercise to begin with so that wasn't a hard choice.
55 percent said they would go without caffeine, which is something I could not give up... Along with my toothbrush, but apparently 22% of those surveyed said they would -- just don't take their phone.
They also wanted to find out how people perceive themselves and others based on the operating systems they use.
According to the survey results, "83 percent of iPhone users thought other iPhone users would make the best romantic partners; 70 percent of Android thought as much of other Android users; Only 48 percent of BlackBerry users thought others who use RIM devices would make the best romantic partners
iPhone users were twice as likely than Android users to have spent more than $40 on apps for their current phone."
So what would you be willing to give up for your cell phone?
