Fires continue to burn in Eastern New Mexico Tuesday afternoon, thanks to lightning.
Roosevelt County Emergency Management tells Pronews 7 at least three fires are burning in the county. They were all started by lightning.
The size of the fires is not yet known.
One of the fires is near Portales and the others are in country-land.
