An Amarillo woman was killed Monday afternoon when her vehicle veered into oncoming traffic on US 60 near Pampa.
According to the Department of Public Safety, Debra Murphy, 57, was traveling eastbound on US 60 just 3.5 miles west of Pampa in a Ford Festiva. That's when the vehicle traveled across the road into oncoming traffic for an unknown reason.
Murphy then overcorrected and slid sideways. DPS says she was then struck by a semi-truck.
The driver of the semi was not injured.
Murphy was pronounced dead at the scene and it is not known if she had her seatbelt on.
