AMARILLO, TEXAS -- An Amarillo man with his two-year-old son in the vehicle was arrested Friday afternoon after police pursued him for more than an hour.
Authorities on scene tell Pronews 7 the man, whose name is not yet being released, was wanted on a charge of domestic assault.
Although the pursuit never evolved into a full chase, police say they used extra precaution during their pursuit because of the two-year-old boy inside the vehicle.
Police arrested the man at his resident in the Wolflin Village Apartments at the intersection of Austin and Locust around 2 p.m.
The vehicle the suspect was driving was a maroon Jeep Cherokee.
