Amarillo Police say a bomb was set inside this mailbox before exploding late Sunday afternoon.

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- A homemade bomb allegedly set in the mailbox of a Southwest Amarillo home late Sunday afternoon has exploded.
According to Amarillo Police, a homemade bomb was placed inside the mailblox of a house in the 4400 block of Evelyn.
A member of the bomb squad was called in but officials tell Pronews 7 the bomb exploded before they arrived.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Amarillo Police continue to investigate this case and are now searching for the suspect or suspects involved.
