Officials are now releasing more information on the wreck that killed a two-month old baby last Friday.
According to Texas Department of Public Safety, Dah Ka Man, 30, of Cactus, was driving a 2002 Toyota SUV southbound on US 287.
DPS says Man was driving while drowsy as he approached the overpass of Mobley north of Amarillo. That's when the pickup veered into the median and began to side skid, crossing into the northbound lanes of the highway and up the embankment of the overpass.
The SUV rolled on its back tires before coming to a rest. All passengers of the vehicle were transported to Northwest Texas Hospital. Man was listed in serious but stable condition. Another passenger was also listed in stable condition while the last was released.
The two-month-old infant inside the vehicle was killed. She was in the second row in the center. DPS says the infant carrier was not properly installed.
