AMARILLO, TEXAS -- With the Panhandle's heat, just about the last thing you think you'd see is a snowball fight, but we got to do that recently with tonight's waiting child.
Meet Shahada as they both tried to beat the heat and win the snowball fight.
Last week we met Johntavia as he and his younger brother Shahada made their own shaved ice at Bahama bucks.
11 year old Shahada says he likes school but likes summer even more when he can go hang out with his friends...
"I used to go to Hamlet and play basketball but now I go to the Y and to my grandmothers."
With Johntavia in his life, he may have an older brother, but he'd really like to have a Big Brother as well...
"So he can lead me down the right path..."
"Is that important to you? To have an older guy in your life? "
"Yeah"
"How come?"
"If I'm going through something he can help me through it...teach me right from wrong."
Besides their normal fare, Bahama Bucks also offers up snowballs by the ice chest...which make for a great way to beat the heat, as the two brothers took on me and the Bahama Bucks owner in a little two-on two frigid fight.
We lost.
Shahada and Johntavia are both on the growing list of little brothers waiting to be matched up...and you can make a real difference by signing up... but until that happens...Shahada will be waiting.
