Crack cocaine and $35,000 seized from Amarillo residence

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Two people are now behind bars after Amarillo Police seized more than 60 grams of crack cocaine and $35,000 in cash.

According to Amarillo Police, a narcotics warrant was obtained a narcotic search warrant for a residence in the 2600 block of NW 22nd Avenue.

Two vehicles and the residence were searched and 61 grams of crack cocaine was found. The crack cocaine has a street value of $6,500, police said. Additionally, approximately $35,500 was seized in U.S. currency.

Christopher Lawrence Murray, 29, of Amarillo was arrested for Delivering a Controlled Substance, Destruction of Evidence and Money Laundering. Ronnie Joe Ivery, 55, or Amarillo was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
