Motorcycle accident sends 11-year-old to hospital

The motorcycle driver was last listed in critical, but stable condition. According to APD, the 11-year-old child is in good condition.


Two people, including an 11-year-old girl were transported to a local hospital after a motorcycle accident Monday afternoon.

According to Amarillo Police, a GMC truck driven by Joanna Brown, 74, pulled out eastbound from a stop sign on Buccola. As a result, 2011 Harley Davidson motorcycle that was southbound on Soncy struck the left side of the truck.

The driver of the motorcycle was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. An 11-year-old girl who was a passenger on the motorcycle was also taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Brown was released from the scene.

This accident remains under investigation.
