AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The new Italian designer line "Missoni" that debuted in Target stores everywhere on Wednesday is causing a nationwide craze.
The collaborative line between the designer and Target features clothing, houseware, cosmetics --you name it -- and shoppers across the nation, literally, bought it up.
The store's website crashed yesterday because of all of the online traffic. Even shopper Kendra Martin came to Amarillo from Panhandle to get in on the Missoni madness.
"I hadn't ever heard of it until my sister called yesterday and said she was headed the Vail area to look for all this stuff at Target because she'd heard about the rush and she got there and everything was gone and so I told her today that I would come over to Amarillo and see what was available and I have got some stuff", said Martin.
The designer line was supposed to be sold in Target stores and on their website through October 22 but Wednesday's sales and overwhelming web-traffic may push that date up even sooner.
