CLOVIS, N.M. (AP) - Cannon Air Force Base will swing open its gates and doors to the public Saturday.
The open house will showcase Cannon's 27th Special Operations Wing airpower capabilities and demonstrate the relationship that Cannon has with the community.
Base public affairs spokesman Lt. Raymond Gobberg tells the Clovis News Journal the open house is a celebration of a long-standing community partnership not only in the Clovis, Portales and West Texas area, but also Albuquerque and the greater New Mexico area.
Twenty-three aircraft will be displayed on Cannon's flight line, including light tactical airlift aircraft, a remotely piloted Predator, an AC-130H gunship and an Osprey.
