AMARILLO, TEXAS -- New moms can expect to be a little bit more comfortable after giving birthing at Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo.

The new Postpartum Unit was revealed today where now, moms and their newborns can relax in the expanded private rooms, each with it's own personal bathroom. The new rooms, which will begin being used this coming Monday, are also equipped with couches and TV's, to help new mothers and their families have a more relaxing experience.

"We wanted to open that up, make the rooms commensurate with the way we have our Labor and Delivery rooms so that they're warm and they're relaxing and just create a positive experience for mom and for the baby during their stay here", said Northwest Texas Hospital CEO, Kyle Sanders.

The new unit has twenty one postpartum rooms.
