Investigation launched after man is severely beaten

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Update 9:30a Monday
A 19-year-old man is behind bars after he allegedly assaulted two other men, police said.

According to Amarillo Police, officers were dispatched to the 700 block of North Buchanan at about 5:45 Sunday morning on a report of someone bleeding. Upon arrival, officers found two assault victims, a 30-year-old and a 36-year-old male.

The 30-year-old was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and the 36-year-old was also taken to the hospital but with non-life-threatening injuries.

Anthony Paul Holguin, 19, was arrested for aggravated assault with serious bodily injury.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Special Crimes at 378-9468.

A man is clinging to life after he was severely beaten, now Amarillo Police are investigating what happened.

Police officers were called to the area of Northeast 7th and Buchanan early Sunday morning. Once there, they discovered an Asian man suffering from serious injuries.

He was taken to a local hospital, with what police are calling life threatening injuries.

No further details have been released at this time.
