AMARILLO, TEXAS -- A local girl scout is running a teddy bear drive right now to make the kids at the Children's Hospital at Northwest Texas smile.
Kaylana Leinen, a student at Avondale Elementary, says she's doing it because other kids gave her stuffed toys when she was in the hospital.
She says she was really happy she got them, and she wants other kids to feel that, too.
"I was just thinking of something like all the teddy bears that they gave me, well I thought of that because of what they've done for me."
If you'd like to help Kaylana, drop off a new or gently-used teddy bear at either Avondale Elementary or the Girl Scouts office.
