AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Hundreds gathered Thursday downtown for the 19th annual LIPS gala benefitting the children of Opportunity School.
This year's event, Solid Gold Hits, featured lip-syncing performances of some of musical history's most iconic songs.
Performers included employees Hastings and Happy State Bank, and Opportunity School staff, among others.
The event was complete with a silent auction, live auction, dinner and of course the performances.
"For us it's the comrrodery, we have people who come year after year, so they look forward to it, but then I think it's just a great show and a great night and it really supports a great cause," said Executive Director, Jill Goodrich.
Goodrich went on to say it's important for people to know opportunity school is a treasure in Amarillo and she looks forward to continuing the service they have provided the past 42 years.
