A three-vehicle wreck on northbound Canyon E-way caused congestion for motorists on their afternoon commute Friday.
The crash happened where construction causes Interstate 27 to be narrowed down to one lane. Three people were sent to the hospital.
According to Texas Department of Transportation, scheduled maintenance on northbound I-27 was delayed because of the crash.
Because of that, the northbound right lane of I-27 will be closed from Rockwell Road to Sundown Road on Saturday. TxDOT said the construction will begin at 8 a.m. and last through late afternoon.
Also, periodic ramp closures will occur in the work area. Drivers are advised to allow extra time and to expect minor delays.
