Residents in Skellytown no longer have to boil their water.

According to the City of Skellytown, results from a water test indicate that the water system now has adequate pressure, disinfectant levels and/or bacteriological quality.

Last Thursday, a water main break happened in the city and caused for it to ask residents to boil their water.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the city to issue a Boil Water Notice because of a loss of pressure.
