The term "Go directly to jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200" has a literal meaning today.

60-year old Laura Chavez of Santa Fe, N.M., reportedly stabbed her boyfriend, 48-year old Clyde "Butch" Smith, after a game of Monopoly went south.

Chavez reportedly began arguing with Smith while playing the game with her 10 year old grandson. He told police that Chavez accused Smith of cheating, and the boy was sent to bed while the adults kept arguing.

According to police, the fight escalated when Chavez hit Smith over the head with a bottle, grabbed a knife and began to cut Smith on his head, neck, face, arms and hand.

Chavez was held on a $5,000 bond. Her grandson slept throught th whole incident.
