A man was killed Tuesday morning after his SUV collided with a tractor trailer about three miles west of Miami.
Just before 7:30 Tuesday morning, Wilbert Wade, 64, of Pampa, was traveling eastbound on Highway 60 in a 2001 Peterbuilt tractor.
According to Texas Department of Public Safety, the tractor-trailer collided in the eastbound lane with a 2001 Lincoln Navigator.
Juan Santos Ortega of Pampa was the driver of the Navigator. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials said the tractor traveled into a ditch and caught flames after the impact. Wade suffered burns and was taken to Lubbock Medical Center.
Both men were wearing seat belts, DPS said.
