A 26-year-old Canyon man was killed Sunday morning after he overcorrected his car, DPS said.
According to the Department of Public Safety, Chase A. Shulte, 26, was driving a 1998 Honda Civic on FM 168 going south just after 10:30 Sunday morning.
Troopers said the vehicle veered to the right of the roadway and Schulte overcorrected to the left. That, according to officials, caused the vehicle to skid into the east ditch.
DPS said he was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle as it overtuened twice.
Schulte was pronounced dead at the scene.
