Police have taken a man into custody who they say burglarized an Amarillo restaurant.

Rodney Dwayne Wiseman, 38, was booked into the Potter County Jail on charges of Burglary of a Building, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana.

At about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, police were dispatched to El Manantiel Restaurant in the 3800 block of Amarillo Blvd. East on a buarglar alarm. Upon arrival, police say they found a front window knocked out and a flat panel TV missing.

Officers were able to get a vague vehicle description of the vehicle and they recognized who they believed the suspect was.

Moments later, an officer who had been at the scene found a matching vehicle and took Wiseman into custody.

Police say evidence from the vehicle indicated that Wiseman was the suspect from the burglary.

The stolen TV has yet to be recovered and police say it is believed it was traded for narcotics within 30 minutes of the burglary.
